At Island Homemade Ice Cream we create hand-made, small-batch, gourmet ice cream, sorbet, and gelato.
Founded 11 years ago by Gary and Patty Sundberg, the company has a well-established reputation for consistently producing superb, high-quality ice cream and delivering top-notch customer service.
I purchased the company in August, 2014. My talented team, including Noni Stuart, Michelle Sendra, Ethan Thomas, and Chris Cannata, is excited to embark on this creative adventure. We hope, with your help, to contribute our chapter to the ongoing story that has made Vermont ice cream and dairy products synonymous with excellence.
What makes Island Homemade Ice Cream so special?
First and foremost, we are locally operated. Our milk is from Vermont cows and we use local products as much as possible.
Second, the delicious taste and creamy texture! We make over 50 fantastic flavors of ice cream, sorbet, and gelato. Our best sellers: French Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Supreme, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Island Coconut, Maple Walnut, Maple Bacon, Sea Salt Caramel, Mint Chocolate Chip, Coffee Chip, and Pink Grapefruit Gelato fly off the shelves.
Third, since we are a small batch company, our focus is on the quality of our ice cream and the tastiness of our ingredients. We create delicious, original flavors, which can also be customized for special occasions, events, and restaurants.
Finally, we believe in giving back to the community. For example, we are currently donating 2% of all sales of our Pink Grapefruit Gelato to the Vermont Cancer Center for breast cancer research.
